Until now, the rain tax has been paid by owners of real estate with over 3,500 m2, over 70% of which was built-up. Currently, the situation is changing and owners of real estate with an area
- 1.5 PLN per 1m2 / year in the case of real estate without water retention devices from the paved area
- 0.90 PLN per 1m2 / year in the case of real estate with a device for retaining water from paved area with a capacity of up to 10% of the annual runoff from this surface
- 0.45 PLN per 1m2 / year in the case of a property with a device for retaining water from paved area with a capacity of 10% to 30% of the annual runoff from a given area
The built-up area will include roofs, driveway, garages, and even foundations under the fence.
An excellent tool to reduce the tax is to install a water retention tank. Attention should be paid to the additional benefits of a given solution. The collected water can be used for watering the garden, washing the car, as well as in sanitary facilities such as toilets. Thanks to this solution, we are able not only to reduce the rain tax, but also the water bill. It is important to choose the best tank that will not cause problems in the future, and the water collected in it will meet our requirements. Gizo tanks, thanks to the monolithic structure and the possibility to use of a pre-filter, ensure constant pH of the water and no seepage of groundwater into the tank. Especially seepage is a big problem in plastic tanks.
